Event round up: Innovation Zero 2023

30 April – 01 May 2023

With copious conferences, tradeshows and workshops running in the clean tech and net zero space, all claiming to be a ‘must attend event’, it can be tricky to know which one to book a stand at, which to attend and which to avoid. Innovation Zero could have been another run-of-the-mill clean tech event. However, our research into the programme, particularly its influential government sponsors, indicated that it really was a ‘must attend event’. So, we briefed our client, Power Roll, and advised them to get involved.

The result, a very happy client!

Big names

We stepped through the doors of Innovation Zero – the international clean tech congress at London Olympia – and into a lively and well-organised event.

With 400+ industry experts, representatives from Government including Oliver Dowden CBE, Deputy Prime Minister and Bart de Leeuw, Head of Energy Storage and Flexibility Innovation, Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) plus a host of inspirational innovators, it promised to be an exciting event tackling net zero topics related to policy, innovation, scaling and leadership.

Valuable networking

The event was well-publicised and endorsed by an array of high-profile sponsors, partners, exhibitors, and speakers. In the preceding months we encouraged clients like flexible solar film innovator, Power Roll, to get involved.

They were also inspired by the programme and booked a stand space. With samples of solar film available to view, Neil Spann, CEO and Don Scott, CCO, were kept busy throughout the entire two days, talking about their technology journey to date and advanced plans to establish a commercial solar film manufacturing facility in the UK. Networking was energetic and productive culminating in a visit to the Power Roll stand from The Rt Hon Graham Stuart MP, Minister of State for Energy Security and Net Zero.

Neil Spann said, “Innovation Zero was a hugely valuable event for Power Roll. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet a wide range of innovators, service providers, potential clients, government ministers and agencies. We left Olympia exhausted; knowing that we had spent two productive days building our business and drawing inspiration from others on the net zero journey.”
