The Eclipse Power Group is a fastgrowing enterprise dedicated to providing end-to-end services for hassle free electricity connections. The group comprises Eclipse Power Networks, an OFGEM licensed Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO), Eclipse Power Solutions, an expert grid consultancy, and Eclipse Power Optimise, a dedicated microgrids and private networks business.

The brief

Eclipse Power Networks was already established as one of the UK’s leading IDNOs. As more IDNO licences were being awarded, the Eclipse Power Group wanted to secure its competitive leadership position and strengthen its group-level brand to be able to launch new market propositions that it would deliver through sub-brands.  

Eclipse went on the hunt for a specialist PR and content partner that could take a planned, proactive approach to develop its position in the media and establish the company as the ‘go-to IDNO’.  

Making thought leadership count

The Eclipse Power Group is blessed with an impressive leadership team of industry experts who have strong opinions and aren’t afraid to share them. We identified the value in Eclipse’s thought leadership, creating articles, comments and securing interviews to capture attention and increase the group’s visibility.  

We’ve been proactive in sharing government changes and industry insights, ensuring that Eclipse experts have had opportunities to comment on energy sector topics across the media and building their presence as go-to industry commentators.   

Increased visibility and awareness beyond PR

We set out to increase visibility of the Eclipse Power brand and we certainly caught the media’s attention. Within the first nine months of working together, Resonates secured over 50 pieces of coverage and over 160 brand mentions in key target publications, reaching an audience of over 250,000.

The Eclipse Power Group has enjoyed the knock-on effect of PR on its other channels, with an increase of 51% in website traffic and an uplift of 1,500 additional LinkedIn followers.
